Prysmian Group Canada Payroll Specialist in Quebec

Sous la responsabilité du Directeur principal RH Canada et du Directeur de paie Amérique de Nord, le Spécialiste de la paie au Canada est chargé du traitement et de la réconciliation comptable de toutes les paies au Canada à l'aide du logiciel du système de paie (ADP WorkForce Now).

Nature et portée

La personne travaille de façon autonome et en étroite collaboration avec l'équipe de paie de NA aux États-Unis et les partenaires locaux des RH et des finances au Canada afin de traiter la paie des employés des sites de Prysmian au Québec et en Ontario ainsi que des télétravailleurs dans d’autres provinces. Elle effectuera les activités liées au traitement de la paie pour les employés horaires et salariés, en conformité avec les diverses réglementations provinciales et les conventions collectives spécifiques, sur plusieurs secteurs de paie, tout en assurant sa validation. Les paies sont traitées de manière hebdomadaire, bihebdomadaire et bimensuelle pour 7 sites (moins de 1 000 employés).

Responsabilités

  • Veiller à ce que les paiements aux employés soient effectués dans des délais prévus.

  • Veiller au respect des politiques, des procédures et des exigences réglementaires, y compris les changements législatifs et les conventions collectives.

  • Veiller à ce que tous les dépôts et versements gouvernementaux nécessaires relatifs à la paie soient effectués en temps voulu, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter, les saisies-arrêts, les feuilles d'impôt et les taxes.

  • Préparer les déclarations relatives à la paie et les documents justificatifs, telles que les pensions, les avantages sociaux, les relevés d'emploi et autres déclarations.

  • Calculer les chèques manuels si nécessaire.

  • Identifier et traiter les avantages imposables.

  • Calcul des primes d'assurance collective, des adhésions et des résiliations dans ADP.

  • Remise des pensions et création de rapports.

  • Préparer divers rapports et enregistrements pour la réconciliation hebdomadaire, mensuel, trimestriel et annuel de la paie.

  • Répondre aux demandes et à la correspondance de manière rapide et efficace.

  • Aider les employés à répondre aux demandes et aux questions relatives à la paie en temps opportun.

  • Être responsable de l'élaboration ou de la mise en œuvre des politiques, procédures ou processus de paie dans ADP.

  • Concilier et compléter le processus de fin d'année et déposer toutes les déclarations fiscales de fin d'année.

Compétences

  • Un minimum de 5 ans d'expérience dans le traitement du cycle complet de la paie dans une capacité autonome.

  • Expérience requise d'ADP WorkForce Now et de Microsoft Excel; la connaissance de Workday est considérée comme un atout.

  • Solides compétences en matière de résolution de problèmes, d'analyse et de gestion du temps.

  • Organisé(e) et capable de jongler avec plusieurs projets dans un environnement en constante évolution tout en respectant des délais stricts.

  • Proactif et capable de prendre des initiatives

Payroll Specialist – Canada

Reporting to both the Senior Canada HR Manager and the NA Payroll Manager, the Canada Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing and reconciling all Canada payrolls using the payroll system software (ADP WorkForce Now).

Nature and Scope

This person works independently in close collaboration with both the NA Payroll team in the US and local HR and Finance stakeholders in Canada to process payroll for employees at Prysmian sites in Québec and Ontario as well as remote workers in other provinces. They will carry out activities related to the processing of payroll for hourly, exempt, and non-exempt paid employees, in compliance with various provincial regulations and multiple labor agreements specific to the various locations, on multiple payroll environments, while ensuring its validation. The payrolls are processed weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly for 7 locations (under 1,000 associates).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure processed payments to employees are within strict deadlines.

  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including legislative changes and labor agreements.

  • Ensure that all necessary government filings and remittances relative to payroll are made in a timely manner including but not limited to garnishments, tax slips, and taxes.

  • Prepare payroll related filings and supporting documentation, such as pension, benefits, Records of Employment, and other statements.

  • Calculation of manual cheques when required.

  • Identify and process taxable benefits.

  • Group insurance calculation of premiums, memberships, and terminations in ADP

  • Pension remittances and reporting.

  • Prepares various reports and records for the reconciliation of payroll weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.

  • Respond to requests and correspondence promptly and efficiently.

  • Assist employees with payroll requests and questions in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for the development or implementation of payroll policies, procedures, or processes in ADP.

  • Reconcile and complete Year-End Process and file all applicable tax year-end filings.

Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years’ full cycle payroll processing experience in a standalone capacity

  • ADP WorkForce Now, Microsoft Excel experience required; Workday knowledge considered an advantage

  • Strong issue resolution, analytical, and time management skills

  • Organized with an ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while working towards strict deadlines

  • Proactive with the ability to take initiative

  • Can work independently or as a co-operative team member

  • Maintains confidentiality
