Position Summary :

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for successfully managing the daily operations of an Inside Sales Team and effectively planning for the future requirements of the customer, the team and the organization.

Job Duties:

  • Motivating and mentoring the team of a team of 10-15 associates, including working with team members to plan career paths, goals and creating incentive plans and contests to motivate the group

  • Providing the required selection, training, coaching and development for inside sales associates to promote retention and motivation

  • Responsibility for fair application of company policies and procedures

  • Establish quality standards by developing and maintaining key metrics and indicators of success for associates

  • Developing customer metrics for call statistics and customer interaction to track and improve service levels

  • Working with marketing and sales managers to support sales initiatives

  • Working to resolve customer issues in conjunction with outside sales and business unit management

  • Identifying and implementing upgraded tools, reporting, automation and process changes to increase efficiencies

  • Identifying product/customer opportunities across teams and leads data mining to increase sales to targeted customers

Key Job Requirements:

  • Experience of Inside Sales processes and systems - ideally SAP – in a B2B context

  • Leadership experience

  • Strong PC skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Products

  • Excellent analytical, documentation, planning, organizational and problem-solving skills required

  • Excellent written and verbal skills necessary

  • Must have the ability to motivate, stimulate enthusiasm, create buy in from employees and be able to both praise associates and give constructive criticism when appropriate

  • Knowledge of Wire and Cable industry a plus

Education:

  • BS/BA degree in business or related field

  • Post graduate education, project management certification, executive training a plus

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in marketing, sales and/or product management developing and managing successful teams
